Crispy Pork Tacos Recipe

CRISPY PORK TACOS RECIPE

Tacos are a perfect solution if you need to feed a crowd and you have no time for cooking. The inspiration for these crispy pork tacos came from Jamie Oliver’s 30 minute meals episode.’ The concept of tacos is very easy: prepare some meat, vegetables, guacamole and incorporate some beans. Put in on the table and let your guest collect the tacos themselves.

Here is my variation of these crispy pork tacos with guacamole and veggies.

Get your linen apron and kitchen towel ready

During cooking wear you favorite linen apron, for example the Grey Chef Linen Apron from Linen Tales – it will save your clothes from spatter and you will also look like a professional cook. Have a linen kitchen towel prepared –you can use it under a cutting board it to stabilized it, to dry your hands or just to wipe some leftovers.

Crispy pork tacos

300 g. pork
1 tea spoon fennel seeds
1 tea spoon smoked paprika
salt and pepper for seasoning

Cut the pork in small chunks and place on the preheated pan without the oil. There is enough fat in the pork what will be released during cooking. Add fennel seeds, smoked paprika, salt and pepper and fry until pork gets brown and crispy. Don’t forget to occasionally stir.

Guacamole

1 ripe avocado
1/2 tomato
1/2 lime
salt and pepper

Blend avocado with the tomatoes, lime, season with salt and pepper – ready!

Backed spicy mexican beans

1 can of black or red beans
1 tee spoon coriander seeds
chilly and garlic
salt and pepper

Heat olive oil in small pan. Add garlic, chilly and coriander seeds. After few minutes, add canned beans with juice. Let it simmer for around 15-20 minutes. Stir from time to time and cook until beans get soft, almost like a purée and the liquid is gone. Add salt and pepper.

Now serve everything on the table and invite your guest to make their own crispy pork tacos. I hope Jamie Oliver would like these crispy pork tacos as well.
