Let's delve into this delightful recipe and discover how to bring its moist goodness into your own kitchen!

Apple pie

Ingredients:

- 2 cups grated apples (about 3-4 medium-sized apples from your orchard)

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 cup sugar

- 1/2 cup any vegetable oil ( I like coconut oil best in this recipe though!)

- 1 tsp vanilla extract or 1 pod of fresh vanilla

- 1 tsp baking soda

- 1/2 tsp baking powder

- 1/2 tsp cinnamon

- 1/4 tsp ground cloves and nutmeg

- 1/4 tsp salt

- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated apples, sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt.
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  1. Add the unsweetened applesauce and apple cider vinegar to the batter. Mix until smooth.
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.

  1. Decorate the top with some apple slices. 
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  1. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 15 minutes.
